Who We Are
Northwest Pilot Car Cooperative is a network of highly experienced, independent pilot car operators united by a shared commitment to safety, professionalism, and getting the job done right. Our pilots cover the Pacific Northwest and cross-border routes into Canada — from the ports of Vancouver to the high desert of Montana.
The Team
OUR PILOTS
Darryl Clark
Canadian by origin, Darryl is both well known and respected north and south of the U.S./Canadian border. As founder of Northwest Pilot Car Cooperative, Darryl brings decades of experience and deep relationships across the industry.
Jack Knight
Jack is a highly regarded pilot in Montana. Jack services the U.S./Canadian Ports of Canada as well as the ports of Vancouver and Longview, WA.
Hoot Gibson
Hoot operates under a dual mandate: protect the load as well as the public. Hoot provides High Pole service and is WA and NY certified. He is well versed in the Garmin 780 truckers version GPS.
Wayne Miley
Wayne is a highly qualified pilot from the Portland area. High pole, lead, chase — you name it, Wayne can get it done!
Hold Harmless Agreement
Transport Company and or the Heavy Load driver that secures the services of a specific Northwest Pilot Car Cooperative pilot, agrees to indemnify and hold harmless all other Northwest Pilot Car Cooperative pilots from any and all claims, judgments, costs, expenses and losses (including attorneys' fees) by reason of any claim of damage or injury to person (including death) or property, including but not limited to damage or injury sustained by the Transport Company, its employees, operators, contractors or customers, caused in whole or in part by the negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, or other fault or default on the part of the hired pilot or its employees or agents in the performance of, or pursuant to, its work for the Transport Company or its driver. Pilot members of this cooperative are not legally bound to each other.
